Today’s Evolving Transportation


Electric vehicles (EVs) and plug-in hybrids are rapidly entering into mainstream transportation. Government agencies, vehicle manufacturers and car owners are moving toward alternatives that factor into a cleaner, green environment. Also driving EV industry advancements are increasing mandates requiring consumers to maintain clean running autos and transportation providers to abide by clean laws such as restricting the idling time for buses. The military adds to this growing EV market as they move to build green fleets that meet regulations to adopt utilization of renewable energy vs. fossil fuel.

The new mission: Build a green power infrastructure and systems to charge today’s EVs. SunPods has developed two specific products to contribute to this new power infrastructure. The first product, the SunPods EV Plug-N-Go is a solar powered EV charging station designed to easily re-charging EVs and utility vehicles. The second SunPods product, the Sun Bus will enable buses to generate and store solar energy to retain power for passenger services even when the bus engine is off. This solution allows bus owners to comply with state mandated idling regulations and reduce fuel costs.
