SunPods is pleased to be headquartered in San Jose, CA – a city long known for its global contribution to advancing technology. As a partner in the San Jose community, we look forward to building strong relationships and participating with local government and businesses on common goals and initiatives.

Cleantech in the Silicon Valley

In the start-up phase, SunPods benefitted from the award-winning cleantech incubator, Environmental Business Cluster (EBC). As part of this program, founders Dan Jaeger and Michael Gumm connected with strategic partners and industry networks focused on the common goal of developing companies focused on clean energy and environmental technology. SunPods remains committed to also participating as a network and resource to future start-ups in these areas.

Headquarter Location

SunPods selected 615 Dado Street, San Jose, CA for our headquarters facility. This business location is identified by San Jose's Redevelopment Agency as an ideal area to promote for new businesses in San Jose. And, we have found our new location – perfect for SunPods! We look forward to growing our operations and a workforce in support of local job development and intern programs.

Donating Power to Community Events

We have showcased our unique SunPods solar system in several local venues to demonstrate how solar works, how solar can power electric vehicles, and how readily available solar is as a clean, renewable energy source for businesses and residences. Planning is underway at SunPods to formalize plans to lend a SunPods solar unit to provide power for local events like festivals or fairs, summer in the park programs, educational conferences and other similar occasions. (We will most often demonstrate one unit – but they can be connected to scale up to utility-size solar energy farms!)
